Spy Girl

Loulou de la Falaise is best known for being the muse of Yves Saint Laurent for over 30 years. She is the daughter of Count Alain de la Falaise. Her mother, Maxine, was a 1950's fashion model.

Loulou met Yves in the summer of 1968, when she was 21. He fell immediately in love with her. She had a different style than the French women he knew. She mixed her old world lineage with a carefree bohemian look of swinging London that was prevalent in the late sixties, but had not reached Paris yet.

Their relationship blossomed and extended beyond friendship and into the YSL's pret-a-porter designs. Loulou collaborated with Yves until his death in June of 2008.

Loulou's first husband was Desmond FitzGerald, the Knight of Glin. After their divorce, she married the artist Thadee Klossowski, son of the painter Balthus. They had one daughter, Ann. Today de la Falaise runs a boutique in Paris called Maison de Loulou.
