The picture comes from the "Your Dior" ad campaign shot by German photographer Chris von Wangenheim in the late 70's. Von Wangenheim is one of my favorite photographers alongside Guy Bourdin, Ara Gallant and Helmut Newton. All four photographers are similar in style often depicting women in perverse almost abusive, but always decadent scenes. The "Your Dior" ads featured the top models of the day such as Gia Carangi, Jerry Hall and Lisa Taylor. Sadly, at the peak of his success von Wangenheim died in a car crash in 1981.
