Linda Evangelista, dubbed the "chameleon" for her ever changing hairstyles and colors, is an International supermodel.
Evangelista was born to Italian parents on May 10, 1965 in Ontario, Canada. In 1978 she got her first taste of the modeling industry when she was crowned Miss Teen Niagara.
In the early eighties she moved to New York City and signed with Elite Model Management. Shortly after she moved to Paris where she began an affair with Elite executive, Gerald Marie. They were married from 1987 to 1993, at which point she was already involved with actor Kyle MacLachlan. Their relationship lasted six years.
Most notably, Evangelista is famous for being one-third of the "Trinity" which also included fellow models, Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington. This friendship sparked supermodel mania and resulted in the highest paid wages, to date, for fashion models. Evangelista is highly regarded as one of the few true supermodels that changed the face of fashion in the late 1980's and early 1990's.
