Platinum

Nadja Auermann (March 19, 1971) is a German fashion model and actress. Auermann was born in West Berlin to a banker couple, who divorced when she was quite young. By the time she was 13, her beauty and long legs were already turning heads. Her older sister suggested she try a career in modeling.

Auermann finished school early with the equivalent of a Higher School Certificate. Her intentions were to waitress for a bit, before deciding what she wanted to do with her life. While sitting in a cafe Auermann met a women who asked her to model. A few weeks later she was on her way to Paris. She was first signed to Karins Modeling Agency. This proved unsuccessful and she switched to Elite Model Management. After appearing in a Benetton campaign and a story in French Vogue, her first big break came when she was shot by Ellen von Unwerth. The breakthrough editorial "She is an enigma" appeared in UK Vogue. Two years later, Auermann colored her hair platinum blonde and her career skyrocketed.

After a relationship with Swedish male model, Alex Lundqvist she began dating Olaf Bjorn, whom she had a daughter with in 1997. In 1999 Auermann secretly married German soap-opera actor, Wolfram Grandezka. The couple welcomed their first son, Nicolas, the same year and divorced a few years later.

Nicknamed the "blonde angel", Nadja's career as a supermodel can be seen in the list of advertisements and magazines she has appeared in. Her resume of advertisements reads something like this: Anne Klein, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Gianfranco Ferre, Gianni Versace Couture, Giorgio Armani, GV Jeans, Joop!, Krizia, Karl Lagerfeld, Prada, Valentino, Versace Atelier, and Yves Saint Laurent. Nadja continues to model today and has most recently strutted down the catwalks for Chanel, Gianni Versace and Thierry Mugler.
