happy solstice

Hope you are enjoying this-the shortest day of the year. I will continue to look for light in the dark season of winter while patiently waiting for the long days to creep back.

Beautiful pictures! Yesterday it barely got light here, I was wondering why that was, but now you're saying it - of course! The shortest day of the year! Actually I sometimes quite like it when it's dark. I like walking thru the city then, or riding on a bus. As soon as I notice that it's getting dark and cold outside, I pull out my old discman and listen to music whenever I walk outside. I just can't concentrate in summer when I have headphones on my ears :)

Fortunately i'm in the Southern hemisphere but i remember trying to fool my friends' younger brother telling him that Winter Solstice allowed ghoulish imps to ravage the city. Needless to say he didn't believe it lol.

Thank you for your comment too! I'm happy you liked my post. Now, I really like the third picture and its blurriness. The 11th pic is beautiful too, but I'd hate to be alone on Christmas Eve... But who knows, maybe the girl in the picture is heading to the house in the picture to visit all her relatives! I love making up stories to go with these pics. The 12th picture is amazing too, I love it being a fan of big cities.
Merry Christmas to you!
